Governor Doug Ducey has proclaimed January 2020 “Manufactured Housing Month.” This act recognizes an industry that provides affordable homes that are safe, comfortable, durable, and quality built, to approximately 367,975 households in Arizona.

Arizona families purchase over 1,800 new manufactured homes each year. Currently 1,116 businesses in the state directly support the manufactured housing industry, and four licensed manufacturers have built 3,019 new homes in fiscal year 2019.

“Now, more than ever, quality affordable housing is in great need, and the manufactured housing industry is stepping up to help Arizonans and all Americans live the American Dream of Homeownership!” said Ken Anderson, President of the Manufactured Housing Industry of Arizona (MHIA). “Last year alone,” he continued, “the [national organization] Manufactured Housing Industry provided more than 85,000 new homes to families across the country.”

MHIA is a Tempe, AZ based trade organization representing the state’s factory-built and manufactured housing industry. To learn more about MHIA, visit www.azhousing.org.
